This is project was born out of creative boredom. My wife was sick with severe flu and I was housebound for several days.
A former student had said the phrase “Mechanical & Botanicals” to me and it stuck in my head. So I decided to visually explore it.
The result was this contrast like Beauty and the Beast of articles from my kitchen and garage, contrasted with flowers and plants from my garden. Nothing here is perfect or without blemish, because that is how they were found.
Overall, I think there is a statement here about God’s consistent beauty in his renewed Creation and man’s mechanization that always leads to obsolence.
