Fall Semester 2008 - Fresno City College

Posioned lake

Alkaline Lake, Rural Kings County, Ca. 2008

Next Semester - Spring 09

Next semester my class schedule will be Photo 10, 15, 40 and 45.          40 is a class in portfolio building and professional practices. In it you will be pitted against yourself to create a p2 flowers composite email 02ortfolio that truly reflects you and the type of work you wish to do.
The course is taught symposium style as I bring in a variety of photographers and visual professionals to give students a feel and sense of what the market is like now.
All styles of photography and photographers are represented in the class. The idea behind it is to prepare you for the business and visual world and for you to discover where you may fit.

Not everyone will be a professional photographer and with that in mind there are valuable tips and ideas for everyone on how you can make money with your craft.
Face it, photography is expensive and wouldn’t it be nice if you could at least make a little money to sustain you and visual ‘habit’?
In Spring Photo 40 will be taught on Tuesday nights from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. Come on by and check us out.

Fresno City College offers thirteen classes in photography that lead to an Associate of Science (AS) degree in Photography.

We also have Certificate of Achievement programs in 12-unit blocks in Digital, Commercial, Photojournalism and Fine Art Photography.

Four full time instructors and seven adjuncts, all working photographers, keep the instruction relevant and practical in application. Our courses range from classic B&W to current Digital Imaging techniques.

A newly remodeled lab with up-to-date technology, three studios and high end digital output facility round out the City College experience.
