Photo 10 - Classic B & W Photography - Fall 09

        Photography 10 is a 3-unit course consisting of 5 hours of lecture and lab and a minimum of 4 hours of homework weekly.  The homework consists primarily of picture taking and some memorization of processes. River Series 10

         The class is designed to acquaint students with basic skills in camera handling techniques with an emphasis on problem solving, creative expression and traditional,  (classic) darkroom techniques. Previous knowledge of a manual camera operation is preferable but not necessary. Students will shoot, process and print black and white film. Sharing and discussing your work is a class a requirement.

     

Current Assignment & necessary information

   Last week most of you worked on your lab assignments and got them done. However you are not up against the clock on getting Project 3 done. Lab time running out and there is much to be done. If you have not shot it yet it would be very advisable to get it done by Tuesday if you can and Thursday at the latest.
   Remember you’ll be spending much time in the lab on this one and you’ll need to the time. Remember to talk to me about negative choice and printing, and you’ll be way ahead of the game.
