The Historic Old Administration Building at Fresno City College has stood vacant for more than 35 years. Built in 1915 this massive brick structure (100,000 sq. feet) was a center of learning for years until the ravages of time and bureaucratic indecision sealed it’s fate.  It fell into decay.
Today a massive restoration effort is underway to return this jewel to it’s former glory. At some point soon (2011) students will again walk the halls.
My mother (who is 100 years old) can remember dancing through the arches of this building when she attended as a college freshman in 1927.
These photographs serve as a reminder of the travesty it was to allow this grand old building to deteriorate and a tribute to those who worked so hard to restore her.
